What locations are you using?

I will be using my grandmother and my house as a recording location.


How long do you think it'll take you to film? 

I believe it would take 2-3 hours to get all my shots since most of my film opener deals with animation. 


Who are your subjects?

The cast list contains close friends and family. My Mother, Father, best friend, boyfriend, and I will be in the cast. 


What do you think your process for directing and filming will be in the context of COVID-19?

The process for directing and filming with Covid-19 shouldn't be an issue. When constructing my film opener, I realized I wouldn't be able to record with my best friend since she is at high risk. I will instead be using each character's photos with a color in the background, as seen in the storyboard. Ill will add the character's favorite items or symbols that represent the around the character and animate them to move slightly to draw the viewer's eyes.

Codes and Conventions

I found some codes and conventions in the video clip that I would like to dive into, including symbolic codes, technical codes,  and story conventions. In the entire clip, the audience has a sense of happiness and carefreeness from the main character (the character riding the bike with curly hair.) It is almost as if this character keeps winning, as seen in a later scene where the character gets a good deal on a drink. Another character, Amir, seen in the corner shop scene, has a slight numb demeanor, almost as if they hold information from the main character; information could ruin the main character's carefree nature.  Continuing the clip travels through many shots and angles using technical codes. This code's use in the clip aids the audience in understanding the environment and setting the story takes place. My Monster Anxiety Treatment

Act 1 Veronica is a young teenage girl in middle school when she first heard about the virus. The virus seemed so unthreatening during the early years. Veronica and her friends thought they would just start spring break a week early. Oh, how wrong they were. Weeks turns to months and months into years till Veronica was starting her freshman year of highschool. Highschool is an odd experience. Hormones are high, feeling get hurt, drama ensues, grades rise, and grades drop. However, Veronicas freshman year isn’t the usual deal people sign. Physical contact with teachers, students, and the whole world really is at a zero. No mingling, no new relationships, no contact, nada. Which entails no sports, field trips, or anything that makes highschool worthwhile. Instead, Veronicas entire highschool experience is on a tiny sliver device called a laptop. Fun.
