Cast of Characters

 

Veronica Claw- Just starting her freshman year at age 14 Veronica is a girl that likes to take charge, likes variety, and tends to avoid awkward situations. She is passionate about art and helping the planet. She is average height, slightly overweight, with wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes.

 

Ably the anxiety blob- A shadow creatures that represents Veronica Claws anxiety. They come from the world Latnem Htlaeh it’s a cold and dark place with many species of monsters. Alby morphs in sizes as Veronica’s anxiety levels increase and decrease.

 

Katherine Claw- A understanding and caring mother to Veronica Claw. She is a voice of reason for Veronica when her anxiety is high. She wants to help her daughter best she can and gives her support in everything veronica does. She has a pale skin tone and is slightly taller than Veronica and has the same body type. Katherine has long brown hair and grayish blue eyes.

 

Luther Claw- A Loving and caring husband to Katherine Claw. He works long hours to provide for the family. Veronica and her father have a good relationship and often like to watch movies and TV shows together. Luther is black and average height for a male at age 40. Luther has short black hair and facial hair, and dark brown eyes.

 

Freddie Dean- In a relationship with Veronica, Freddie is a caring individual. He is funny, impulsive, and can be a troublemaker at times. He has social anxiety and ADHD. He is Tall, slender, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 15 years old during the story.

 

Locations

 

Veronicas Bedroom- The bedroom is small and slightly cluttered.

 

Living Room- A medium sized room cramped with a small couch and rolling table. The lighting is warm and yellowish it makes the room have a homey feeling.

 

Latnem Htlaeh- A cold dark place where Alby takes Veronica.

Sam Smith Music Video Refection

  The music video how do you sleep by Sam Smith deals with the concepts of relationship troubles, heartache, deceit, and shame; each camera angle and dance movement convey these ideas and values. You can always see Sam Smith’s eyes, and it is almost like Mx. Smith is singing to you. There are lots of touching movements that showcase a romantic relationship or feeling trapped in said relationship. The shot where the different color changes where the dancers look could mean the other emotions or sides of a person are shown. Each part of the video is thought out to show the turmoil this relationship had on Sam Smith. The dance moves were used to show the heartbroken person feeling both free and trapped while dancing. Opening scene Draft 1.5

 I realized that my first storyboard was too complicated and had too much information. I almost all act one in the opening scene, which was not what I was going for. I took inspiration from a film I watched with my family. In the film's opening scene they used suspenseful music, fire embers,  slow movements, still images, and bold white lettering for the credits. The opening scene introduced the character, set the mood and setting without revealing big plot points. I thought their film opener was excellent and decided to take inspiration when revamping my opening scenes storyboard with color and fewer slides.
